Exploring the Concept of Co-living
Co-living can be broadly described as self contained market housing with shared communal amenities. Co-living accommodations are high-quality, purpose built, professionally managed buildings that create a shared living experience through the provision of well-designed spaces and a sense of community. The Draft New London Plan acknowledges that large-scale purpose-built shared living (co-living) developments may have a role in meeting the housing needs in London.
Who is co-living for?
Contrary to common beliefs, co-living is not exclusively tailored for millennials residing in urban areas. Instead, co-living accommodation is crafted for individuals who value a communal lifestyle while also seeking sufficient privacy, utmost flexibility, and a hassle-free living environment. These spaces are intricately designed to free residents from the ordinary stresses of daily life.
